Valley Dental Riverview

I was extremely disappointed with my experience as a new patient at this office. I explained that I had recently been under the care of another dentist and already had recent dental X-rays and routine cleanings. Rather than first attempting to obtain my existing records and recent X-rays, the office proceeded with new imaging even after I raised that concern. This bothered me even more after learning that the American Dental Association’s current recommendations emphasize that dental X-rays should be based on an individual patient’s clinical needs rather than taken routinely, and that providers should make a good-faith effort to use recent radiographs from previous dental examinations when available. I believe unnecessary radiation exposure should be avoided when adequate recent imaging already exists. After the examination, I expected the routine cleaning I had scheduled. Instead, I was told I needed a deep cleaning. I did not feel that the periodontal findings supporting that recommendation were clearly explained to me, nor did I feel that my recent dental history was adequately considered. The entire experience left me concerned that additional procedures were being recommended before reasonable due diligence was performed. I am absolutely willing to undergo treatment that is clinically necessary, but I expect a provider to review my history, obtain available records when appropriate, clearly explain the evidence supporting additional treatment, and allow me to make an informed decision before proceeding. I will be seeking a second opinion before agreeing to the recommended deep cleaning.

Good morning I’m giving two stars because I called to inquire about Zoom whitening but I also saw reviews that this establishment perhaps does pretty good composite bonding and when I called I was like hey does this place offer zoom whitening? the person that I was talking to was like what?? I’m like Zoom whitening, is this something that this office offers and they’re like yeah but they just seemed so like unenthused and it’s like it’s 8:34 in the morning. I’m like really positive and happy I wanna go somewhere and pay money (my time) to help make myself look better and on the other end of the phone is somebody that acts like they are literally not enthused at all one bit to help me… makes me question what the vibe is in the office and I’m really big on energy and if the people that work there aren’t happy then they probably won’t do their best job to make me feel happy when I’m getting my services done and feel happy with how the services turn out . My 2 cents . ALSO : as I’m waiting for some human to answer the phone, I hear a disclaimer that they’re using AI to review the calls, which means they’re using it to transcribe, and I haven’t even signed any approval for my voice/ words to be synthesized in this capacity. There are better ways to allocate the resource that is water.

As someone who dreads going to the dentist, this is by far the best dental office I have been to. I have VERY sensitive teeth, my dental hygienist listened to my concerns and pain tolerance and worked with me through the whole process. He was very patient and showed empathy. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic dentistry! This was my first time going there, and it’s always been hit or miss for dentists with me, but the staff were very friendly, and you could tell the whole staff got along with each other as well. They laid everything out very simply for me, and answered all my questions. I had to deal with an infected tooth that wouldn’t be covered by insurance, and the whole team was very supportive and showed me the different options that I could do, and worked with me based on my circumstances. I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone to go here. (Not a paid actor btw)

This was our first time visiting this dental office. I was impressed with how beautiful the space was. The staff was friendly, efficient and fast. The technician and the dentist were thorough and proficient. They did not try to sell me things and performed the tasks quickly and effectively. I would highly recommend this office.

Hello Everyone! My son is autistic, Justin was treated very well at Valley Dental. Dr. Pablo, was very patient and he's the first Dentist that was able to clean his teeth. My husband and I, were very pleased with the service that was provided ,It's nice sharing our good news with you all, have a nice day!😃

I took my 6-year-old to Valley Dental in Riverview for what I was told would be a crown appointment, and the experience was extremely concerning. There was no clear explanation of the procedure beforehand. I walked in and was asked to sign consent forms that weren’t filled out. I asked if they were to be filled out and for a copy and they told me that I would get a copy after the doctor fills it out and explains the procedure to me. After they brought my child back, I later heard her screaming and had to go back myself because no one informed me that treatment had already started. I was still waiting to speak with the doctor. Once I got back there, I was told they were removing the nerve (a completely different and more invasive procedure than a crown), which had never been explained to me or properly consented to in advance. Once I explained that that wasn’t part of the procedure, he told me that would be the new procedure based on her symptoms. To make matters worse, when I asked about the procedure steps and mentioned the consent forms once again, I was given visible attitude and told they would complete them AFTER the procedure. That is not informed consent. As a parent, I expect: • Clear communication before any procedure • The opportunity to consent to specific treatments • Transparency and professionalism when treating a child None of that happened here. I ultimately stopped the procedure and left because I did not feel comfortable with how things were being handled. I strongly recommend other parents ask detailed questions and ensure full understanding before allowing treatment at this office.

I’m so grateful for the team here! I’ve had excruciating pain from my wisdom tooth and the dentist I had seen prior had scheduled the pull for three weeks out and gave me no solution to get me through those three weeks. I ended up calling this office as a last ditch effort, and they got me in the same day and pulled the teeth same day as well. The front receptionist was super sweet and Dr Pablo had a great attitude and actually listened to what I was saying seriously. I will be back soon!! Thank you guys so much for the amazing and quick care.

I was honestly very afraid of having this tooth procedure done, but Dr. Pablo completely changed my experience. From the moment I walked in, his professionalism stood out. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answer all my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable and confident before starting. Thanks to his patience and care, what I thought would be a stressful experience turned into a very positive one. I’m truly grateful and would highly recommend him to anyone who feels nervous about dental work.

Dr.Pablo was kind and thorough and answered the questions I had. He was not pushy at all and he seems to have the patient as a priority, not the dental plan or profit. He was easily the most knowledgeable and thorough dentist I’ve been to. His office staff were all kind as well. I felt genuinely cared about there- which is not always my experience in any doctor’s office. I will definitely be recommending this office! Hope they start taking my insurance soon!

We took our daughters this morning age 7 and 5 and they had a fantastic experience. The staff was super social, friendly, knowledgeable, patient and definitely very welcoming. My oldest was a little anxious and they spoke to her and explained everything in detail and really made her feel comfortable.
