Punta Gorda Dental Care

I take my dad here. They are great. I would have given them 5 stars if it weren’t for the over abundance of plug in air fresheners. Gives me a migraine every time I walk in. I mean, one or two is fine. But they must have 10 or more in that building. All are on the highest setting. Horrible. I would take him somewhere else if he didn’t like them so much. .

I broke a tooth Friday evening I looked them up in my insurance plan to make sure they were in network and they were and first thing Monday morning I was able to get an appointment to have my tooth looked at, keep in mind I’m a new patient not established. I requested to see doctor Melissa Marino, D.M.D. Because this doctor was recommended by a coworker. With dentists I’ve always found out going by recommendations of fellow coworkers usually results in a good outcome and this was no different the doctor was fantastic. The doctor went over everything with me and came up with a treatment plan. Another thing that I look for in a dental practice is full transparency in making sure that whatever treatment plan the cost and procedures lineup with my insurance company estimates and in this case they did. We just moved to the area about a year ago and I was still using the dentist I had previous. It is hard to give up a good dentist when you get one, unfortunately my previous dentist is over 160 miles away and my broken tooth could not wait. This practice so far is working out quite well. I’m going tomorrow to begin the work for creating a crown on the broken tooth. This is going to be quite possibly my new dental practice over here on the West Coast of Florida. Update: I just finished today’s appointment getting my temporary put on and I gotta say the doctor is just as good a quality as my previous dentist. I felt no pain through the anesthetic injections ++ and no pain during the reshaping of the remaining tooth for receiving the crown. The dental technician took their time creating the temporary crown and consulting with the doctor when needed because I have a pretty unique bite in my jaw, which can make fitting both temporary and permanent crowns a challenge, so another plus to the team for their great work here. Hoping the temporary stays in place until my next visit to receive the permanent crown at which point I’ll also update this review.

Always so professional and nice from start to finish. So happy my sister told me about Dr Marino, I had tried the new place in town which was horrible, Dr Marino and her entire staff are awesome I would recommend this practice to everyone. Thanks Doc for being awesome and caring.

I had been going there About 10 yrs but in dec. I told them every bill has to be sent in my 1/1 they said ok. And I need crown replaced so schedule it before 1/1/ make sure my better insurance cover it $590.i was told. I arrived ar 1150 went straight back got nump removed crown but left a new. Guy in there alittle over 2 hours as he was new and don't know if even replaced a crown straight out of school so he keeps my mouth open all this time why moving a huge scanner in my mother 7 8btimes then after 7 or 8 trys off forcing down on jaw..hours of pressure injured my mouth once I got my print crown in I advised the dentist the new guy could get my remp crown on for ever over 21/2 hours finally a girl came in and placed in r right on so I left in pain My jaw never recovered as. Weeks go by I return showing the damage to my jaw because the kid had no idea what he was doing so he sent me to root canal doc. Knowing I had no root cause the just did x-rays so $260 on tip of $590. I then returned telling him his aid had me in there 21/2 hours with jaw being forced open then sent me to tmj specialist anthor $260

Wow! Wow! Wow! I am a new patient of Dr. Marino, so this was my first visit and what a GREAT experience from start to finish. It all started with the two lovely ladies at the front as they gave such a warm welcome and made the check in process super easy. I met the dental assistant Amanda, she too is lovely lady and a great asset to the team as she worked her magic with images while keeping me informed along the way. Dr. Marino, is a true GEM of a doctor!! Beautiful manners, kindness, and a delight as she went into depth as to what is needed to keep my teeth/crowns healthy. Then after the checkup with Dr. Marino, I met backup with Amanda, who explained the cost breakdown as what is my responsibility and what is my insurance responsiblility when it came to the recommended work needed to maintain my happy/healthy teeth. It truly is rare and hard to find a dental office and staff that combins this great level of professional expertise with a personable touch. And finally the facilities are super clean, nicely appointed and the entire team has a GREAT VIBE therefore, I am extremely happy to have this team as my new dental care provider! Thank you Punta Gorda Dental Care for a FANTASTIC experience! You have easily earned the 5 star rating!!

They were very nice. Welcoming. I have no question that they were doing a good job. I only had 2 minor issues. 1) What the heck did the x-ray tech say? 2) They aren’t afraid to ask high tier prices for what they perceive as high tier dental care. You know what to expect when they offer financing information after you talk to the dentist.

Everyone at Punta Gorda Dental makes it their mission to do the very best for their patients. Dr. Chavez is a wonderful, caring lady. I recently lost my wife and was in the office after my cleaning and asked her if I could share a few pictures of the love of my life. She said, " You can share all the pictures you want. I was tearing up, and she wiped the tears from my eyes. WOW! That says it all: the ladies at the front desk were also amazing, taking the time to let me share my wife's life with them.

Dr. Marino is very caring and always puts her patients’ best interests first, making sure you feel comfortable with every decision. The dental technicians are excellent—especially Robert who made my crown, a true perfectionist. The front desk team friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for quality care and a positive experience!
