Beaumont Family Dentistry

I’m leaving this review on behalf of my mother because she is too kind hearted to leave an honest review. She also is not in good health and doesn’t have the energy to take up for herself. These are her words. I went to Dr. Takacs because I had several broken teeth and needed extensive dental work. From the beginning, she knew I was on disability, living on a fixed income, dealing with kidney cancer, and simply did not have the money to pay for everything out of pocket. We agreed that the work would be done one section at a time over multiple years so my dental insurance could cover as much as possible each year. I understood this would be a long process, but I believed that eventually I would have functional teeth again. Unfortunately, after everything I have gone through, I now have a bill for approximately $3,000 and essentially nothing to show for it. The upper left side was supposed to be repaired first, but the partial kept falling off. It came off two or three times, and eventually I gave up going back and ordered dental adhesive myself from Amazon to try to keep it in place. So far so good. On the lower right side, I repeatedly developed an abscess. The office drained and flushed it and prescribed antibiotics more than once. I was also told that a root canal had been started, but it was never completed. What is most upsetting is that I entered into this treatment plan believing we had an understanding about my financial situation and that the work would be completed gradually as insurance allowed. Instead, I still don’t have functional teeth to eat with, I have unfinished dental work, and I am now responsible for a $3,000 balance. On top of that, late charges continue to be added every month that the balance isn’t paid, making it feel impossible for someone on a fixed income to ever get out from under this debt. I never expected everything to be fixed overnight, and I understood from day one that this would take years. What I did expect was for the dental work I was billed for to actually result in repaired, functional teeth. Instead, I am left with unfinished treatment, recurring dental problems, a partial I have had to secure myself with adhesive, and a bill that continues to grow. I am extremely disappointed and wish I had never started this process.

Always very professional and welcoming. Hygienist Pat really tries to problem-solve and do what’s best for my smile. No wonder we’ve been seeing Dr. Takacs for over 30 years!

Becky is my dental hygienist and does a thorough and gentle job of cleaning my teeth. She is also kind, patient and very caring. She answers all my questions and is super helpful.

I love Beaumont family dentistry. I have gone there probably probably over 30 years. I started out with them when they were in another location and have trusted them with all my dental. They are very caring , nice and friendly.

I love my dentist and her staff. I’ve been going to Dr Takacs since I was a teenager (which was a long time ago). From cleanings to braces, teeth whitening, fillings, root canals, crowns and bridges, I have always had the best care! My dental work is always top notch! I can’t imagine going anywhere else. I also absolutely love my hygienist Aimee! She’s the best!

I was a new patient and they were so helpful and flexible in scheduling my appointment. I usually get anxious during these visits but Dr. Takacs and the entire staff was so friendly and put me at ease. Highly recommended.
