The dental staff are so wonderful, very caring, patient, helpful, and so very kind!! ❤️ They explain everything: how's, whys, what should I do, etc. I had to take a sophisticated X-ray of my jaw, teeth and sinus and it was so cool!! I've never had that before; usually you stay in your chair, and bite down on something from different angles. This one was different, the tech x-ray person was very helpful & patient until the cross was all lighted up!! Thank your team!! Awesome!!

My family and I have been going to Island Ohana Dental for almost 20 years. I have personally been honored to be Dr. Jill Uehara’s patient for the whole time that I have been going to Island Ohana, and I have been more than a 100% blessed, grateful, and satisfied with her and I am a complicated patient and she’s so understanding and supportive, and simply amazing and takes pride in all that she does, so I personally refuse to see anyone else because she is the best in my opinion! My children have all been wonderfully taken cared of with their dental needs and we are all very grateful for their support and care! The staff are all amazing and we will always be thankful for the graciousness, patience, professionalism and kindness that they all have shown me and my family! My family and I have been a patients of Island Ohana Dental since 2001. Always treated with love and respect, and good dental care. Dr Garrett and Dr Jill are awesome dentists, and full of heart. As for Liane, my dental hygienist, she is so patient and very thorough. Love the whole team in general, from the front office, accounting, scheduling. They are clean, tidy and professional, just like a good dental office should be.

I had an appointment today at 1:30, check-in at 1:20 to sign new patient paperwork which was only 3 pages and simple. I was 10 mins late ⏰ because I had a little trouble finding the office, which actually has a whole building to itself with a big sign outside in the front. I called for directions and the girl was really nice and directed me to their office and nobody said anything about my tardiness or tried to rush me, it was actually a really good experience from start to finish and everyone was very kind including the dentist and dentist assistant! 🪥 🦷 Mahalo for a very pleasant first visit! I look forward to my next appointment which was scheduled very promptly for the following week Monday! My visit was on Thursday so that’s only a few days, amazing!

Christine the hygienist offered high quality service and made the dental office not as scary. High levels of anxiety are often associated with dental visits but the staff here made sure I felt at home. Christines cleaning was professional, precise and comfortable. Highly recommend her and have already set my next appointment. Dr. Uehara was also meticulous with diagnosis and looks heavily into the future care of your teeth and gums.

I’ve always enjoyed my dentists and their hygienists. Here at Ohana Dental, we have good fun. I really do look forward to going and seeing them. Catching up with our lives. They are Ohana. They are fun yet very professional too. And no they did not ask me to write a positive review like many do. I’ve always been a little nervous about dental visits—honestly, as a kid I had to be strapped to the chair—so that says a lot about how exceptional this office truly is. From the moment you walk in, they completely put you at ease. I’ve been going to this dental practice for the past five years, and the difference in my oral health has been incredible. I no longer have gum disease, and my dental hygiene has never been better—brushing twice a day, using mouthwash, and of course using my Cocofloss! The front desk staff is friendly and welcoming, the dental assistants are wonderful, and the dentist is patient, thorough, and genuinely caring. The team that handles billing and insurance deserves special recognition as well—they’re incredibly patient and thorough when explaining coverage, changes, and copays. I also really appreciate the multiple appointment reminders I receive via text, along with the text message letting me know what my copay will be before my visit. It’s so helpful to be able to walk in prepared. During my most recent visit, they noticed a small chip in my tooth and were able to fit me in immediately following my cleaning to have it fixed. That level of attentiveness and flexibility truly means a lot. And I can’t say enough about my dental hygienist—she is hands down the best. So personable and easy to talk to; I think we bonded over our shared love of Cocofloss! I’ve honestly put off writing this review for so long because part of me wanted to keep a gem like this to myself—but they truly deserve the recognition. Highly recommend.
