Meridian Dental Centre

I was in search of a new dental provider closer to where I lived - this practice came up with the best reviews and was in-network with my insurance provider. I reached out to schedule an appointment and they initially told me I couldn't be seen for 6 months. I requested a sooner appointment and we got it scheduled for a month out. The appointment then was rescheduled multiple times due to scheduling errors and "office meetings." I had to follow-up myself multiple times just to get rescheduled. The day before my appointment, I received a call asking for my insurance information and asked to come in 30 minutes early for paperwork. I arrived at 2:30pm for my 3pm appointment - they never asked me to complete any paperwork and just copied in my drivers license and insurance card. I did not get called back until 3:30pm for my 3pm appointment. I was told I absolutely needed to get my wisdom teeth removed (no dentist in the last 15 years has told me that). I was told I needed an antibiotic for a gum infection and also a small filling for a cavity (all of which insurance somehow didn't cover). I was also told I needed to come in every 4 months versus 6 months. I ended up paying out of pocket for these services PLUS the actual appointment (mind you, this was an in-network provider). The hygienist called for the dentist to come in at least 5 times throughout the appointment. At 4:40pm, I was done with my cleaning but still had to wait over 20 minutes for the dentist to come in and do her final check. I ended up being there for 2.5 hours. The hygienist and dentist were both professional and nice, but the overall experience was terrible. I will be looking for a new provider.

I'm not usually one to write a review but I can't help but write one about my experience with Meridian Dental Centre. I scheduled an appointment for my daughter in January after I checked my insurance to make sure that Meridian was a covered provider. The day of the appointment, they took my daughter back, did x-rays and determined that she needed a root canal. Once the appointment was over I was informed at the front desk that the provider doesn't take my insurance and that I wouldn't be charged for the appointment. I was also told that they would love to have us as a patient but that I would need to pay out of pocket for any future work. After the appointment I double checked my insurance to make sure that I was correct that Meridian was covered but after the experience I decided to find another dentist. Fast forward to April and I received an explanation of benefits from my insurance company in the mail. It showed that Meridian filed with my insurance and received reimbursement less the balance that was my responsibility. The next day I received a statement from Meridian for the balance that I am responsible for. The dental team may be top notch at Meridian but their business practices leave a lot to be desired.

I was referred by my former dentist to get an implant by oral surgery. The implant was done in January, and I made a follow up visit for March to have the crown placed. My former dentist left this practice. The current dentist had no idea why I was sitting in the chair. My oral surgeon had faxed all the documentation to obtain the crown weeks prior. This office seems very disorganized and has a high turnover of dentists. I will not be returning. Word of advice - Call prior to your visit to make sure they know why you’re coming or just go elsewhere.

Really disappointed with Dr O. I had a filling that was done and they made it worse than before I had no pain on it and now I have pain. Even after they did root canal it is still hurting. I spent all this money and time and didn’t get the results and help I needed. Also spent a lot of money on a root canal and a crown just too loose the tooth in the end because of so much pain which I wanted tooth gone in the beginning and they would not do it. Really dissatisfied with the service.

Dr. Ottoway did great job. I love my gorgeous teeth. She listened to me carefully. She understood what I wanted. I am a pain sensitive, she made me comfortable. I love my natural look wonderful teeth. Thank you so much Dr. Ottaway. I really appreciate. Also Queen is best, she helps me during financial and any other process. Thank you so much .
