Great Expressions Dental Centers - Farmington Hills

This office cleaned my teeth (the dental assistant was nice; I noticed the chair rest was broken😒), took x-rays and afterwards the doctor looked and advised I needed a crown. I explained I had a lot of pain in my tooth as well but he didn't SAY or DO anything about that he just made an appointment for a month out for the crown 🤔. Not a week later I had an abscess and needed a root canal at another dental office as well as a future crown!!!! They also would not forward the x-rays that I paid for....not professional at all. Unfortunately, I would NOT recommend ANY Great Expressions for dental needs; this is the 2nd time with a bad experience.

First time seeing this doctor after ours left this office for private practice. It was a teeth cleaning & checkup for my daughter (9 yrs). First off, the exam room was filthy. About an inch of dust covering the bottom of the dental chair underneath. Countertops/sinks were very dirty too. Dr. Examined my daughter’s X-rays and made comments but never spoke directly to me even though I was sitting right there. When he was done he left and the assistant was about to lead me to the front desk. I asked if there was anything that needed to be discussed and she said (oh yeah, she has some cavities and needs fillings…) When exactly were they planning to tell me this, had I not asked? Then at checkout the guy said let me ask the Dr. if you need to schedule something. Instead of coming back to speak with me about my daughter’s treatment plan he sent the receptionist back to provide a printout, with zero explanation. He never even bothered to show me the X-rays as he was explaining things to his tech to take notes. Really poor experience and we will be changing dentists. Extremely unprofessional and dirty facility.

Terribly disappointed with the professionalism, communication and customer service from their front office staff. This locations run like a zoo in comparison to the others I've been to and I don't say that lightly. The only saving grace is the clinical staff including the dentist in oral hygienist are extremely professional and continue to be the only reason I've ever gone there but today's the last day.

Dental procedures are fine, but prepare for a lot of delays. Either in between appointments, which should generally be a week they will schedule you for a date after 3 weeks. Everytime you go there prepare to wait for an hour before a dentist comes to you. If you are taking time off prepare for that extra 1-2 hours

Do not go to this office. Always trying to reschedule later in the day appointments, constant staff changes and very unprofessional. Texted me about appointment ahead of time but waited until I arrived at the office for my appointment to tell me that they didn't have a record of my insurance. Now as I am voicing my concerns and dissatisfaction with this error which they keep blaming on employee who was there "yesterday" the office manager is sitting right there saying nothing. I asked for the manager to voice my concerns and then the lady simply points to him? How are you a manager and hear complaints right next to you with no attempt to help clear up the matter? This was the final straw for me I will be finding a professional dental office. If you like to have your appointment times constantly changed, no later afternoon availability, unprofessional staff, and wasted time then this is the dental office for you!

Dr. Diva Arvind finished my crown today by applying the permanent tooth in place. She did an excellent job!!! I’ve had crowns done by 2 other dentists over the years, and her technique was the best and much different than either of theirs. I even asked her where she went to dental school, and definitely not where they went. Besides her amazing skill, she is a genuinely nice and very kind person, very easy to talk to. I Highly recommend her!!

I had a really disappointing experience at Great Expressions. During my visit, the technician seemed inexperienced with the X-ray machine — it was shaking the whole time, and the trays were so uncomfortable that they actually cut my mouth. The hygienist never even looked inside my mouth, just glanced at the X-rays and immediately told me I had six cavities. My appointment was limited to one hour, which barely covered the X-rays and waiting time. Afterward, the receptionist told me I had to schedule a separate cleaning visit plus three more appointments for fillings (two at a time). When I looked over the bill, it didn’t match what my insurance outlined, and no one could give me a clear explanation. To make matters worse, I went to a different dentist afterward for a second opinion — and they confirmed that I only have one small cavity that doesn’t even need immediate attention. That really reinforced my frustration with Great Expressions and left me feeling like my trust had been taken advantage of. Overall, I left feeling like just another number rather than a patient. The whole process felt rushed and profit-driven, not focused on honest dental care or patient comfort. I won’t be returning and would not recommend this office to others. 0/10.
